Description:
|
This new Rome semester is offered in the autumn and spring terms. This multidisciplinary program offers students a unique opportunity to combine
entry level Italian language with advanced coursework in leadership, architecture, urban design, media and communications, design and marketing, and sustainability. All courses offer faculty guided site visits to museums and monuments in and around Rome and an extensive guest lecture series. The program also includes a four-day study tour of Barcelona to explore how the contemporary issues facing Rome and Italy explored in each course relate to a more progressive and cosmopolitan Europe. Academic excursions to Napoli, Tuscany and Abruzzo are also included in the program. Emphasis will be placed on experiential learning throughout the program by offering internships and service learning opportunities. All classes are conducted at the ACCENT Rome Center in the beautiful Palazzo Bennicelli (also known as Banco di Santo Spirito) on the Piazza dell'Orologio. In the heart of Rome’s historic center, the study center houses numerous classrooms, a Library, a computer lab and an architecture studio. |
