Description:
The UNM Rome Program is sponsored by the Office of International Programs & Studies at the University of New Mexico.

Courses are offered in a number of fields: Art history, studio art, history of architecture, Italian language, Italian literature, and classical studies. Considerable class time is spent on-site studying original works of art and architecture in and around Rome -- whether at an archeological excavation or in a Renaissance church. Fall and spring semester programs are complemented by a summer program focusing on the arts and language. Specialized short-term programs in other fields will be offered periodically.

The Program is open to qualified undergraduate and graduate students regularly enrolled at the main campus or one of the branch campuses of the University of New Mexico, and those from a member institution of the New Mexico International Education Consortium (NMIEC). Students from other universities may attend on a space-available basis.
