Description:
The Rome Center provides classroom space, small library, conference/lecture hall, housing and administrative assistance to a variety of University of Washington programs. Most programs are for the duration of one academic quarter and have included programs from the following departments: Architecture, Classics, Studio Art, Art History, Italian Studies, Comparative History of Ideas, History, Honors, European Studies, Landscape Architecture, Tacoma Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences, Astronomy, Law, Societies & Justice, Geography, Mathematics, Creative Writing and English. Enrollment for study in Rome is through the respective departments in Seattle, Washington, only. No enrollment takes place at the Rome Center, program courses are not open to the public, and no degrees or certificates are conferred.
